~!!~
"AGH!" Cass swore profusely, and tried to knock her head against the wall. Jack caught it and held firm. "AMI, YOU'RE KILLING ME!" she shouted.
Ami grinned and looked at the girl with a sadistic glint in her eyes. "You were just tortured, beaten in a fight, you tore your shoulder and ankle from their sockets, and you think I'm bad?" Hmm. Ami shrugged and popped the girl's ankle back in place. "All done!"
Cass' eyes bugged out, and she screamed in agony. "Ami, you are so lucky Jack took my daggers!" she shouted.

"Come on, Cass, it wasn't that bad," he said grinning.
"Oh? When was the last time I worked on you, Jackson?" Ami replied sweetly. "I think it's time for—"
"And there's my exit," Jack interrupted and released Cass, heading for the outside as fast as he possibly could without running.

Ami shrugged. "I'll get to him when I'm finished with you. Time to get that shrapnel out."
Cass' eyes, somehow, widened further. "J . . . JACK!" she cried as Ami pinned her to the floor on her stomach. "She's going to kill me for real this time!"
Ami sighed. "Why do you always make me out to be the cruel one here? You're the one who does this to yourself in the first place. You masochist."
Cass would have objected, but Ami chose that moment to start removing the cement and granite from her back and neck. Agonized screams tore through the air.

Jack stood outside, wincing everytime Cass' voice rose in pitch. I didn't think someone's voice could get that high. . . He shuddered, thinking of what was going to happen to him.

Ami calmly opened the door. "Come on, Jacky-boy. Your turn." Before he could move, she snatched his wrists and drug him in the room, past the almost unconscious Cass. "She's fine, you know," Ami said, arching a brow at his unvoiced concern. "Nothing time won't fix." She sat down at the other end of the room. "Although," she whispered, "it's harder to heal her. Her body is resisting the magic."

Jack nodded. "Any idea why this is happening at a faster rate for her than me?" he asked, his brow knit with concern for his long time partner.

Ami shrugged. "I have no idea. Maybe it's because she's smaller. The magic would have a more potent affect on her, since it can't disperse as much as it does in you."

Jack nodded once more. So either she doesn't know or she thinks that I don't know. Knowing he wasn't going to get out of it any longer, he sighed and muttered, "Okay Ami. Do your worst."

Ami grinned evilly as she cracked her knuckles. "Gladly, Jacky-boy!" She manuevered him onto his stomach, and held a small orb of light over him, occasionally poking him fairly hard.

Ami gave him an innocent look. "But it's so sof-" A ringing bell took her attention away. "Darn. Hold tight." She stood up and exited the room, locking it behind her.

"Damn it," Jack growled as he fumbled through Cass' pack. "Ami jacked her lock picks. . ." He stared at the door, almost fearfully.

Cass gave him a weak look. "Stop whining. She didn't just pop two joints back into place and pull half of your skin off. You'll survive." Yawning, she continued. "Besides, Jack, she probably has a paying customer, unlike us."

Jack sighed, and sat down next to Cass. "Yeah, I know." He stopped talking to listen to the voices outside the room.

Cass' ears pricked, and she lifted her head. Her eyes widened, and she leaped to her feet, searching for her jacket and boots. Jack gave her a strange look as she motioned for him to do the same. She stopped her frantic packing, and turned her head toward the door. "Oh. . . shit," she whispered as Ami opened it.
