With a shrug, Kevin replied, "Your idea."

Longinus sighed. "Yeah, I know it was my idea, but still...this guy disappeared entirely. It isn't like we gradually went away. We had footprints for a few miles, then suddenly they just stopped. Its like he sprouted wings and flew away. I mean, what is this guy? Angel? Vampire? Human? Things just don't line up."

"Well," Kevin said, trying to instigate reasoning, "what did he look like he was?"

Longinus traced his hand across the ground beneath him. "Well, he didn't have wings. We know that for sure. He also didn't have fangs; I caught that from the sneer he gave me. So that rules out Vampires and Angels, for the most part. The way he moved, though, was uncanny. Plus he had that weird weapon. It was like a windmill on a chain or something. Definitely not something I've ever seen a human use. Its like he's nothing."

Anthony giggled. Nothing? That's a new one.
He circled around the two angels, careful not to make a noise. He knew they were more attentive than most creatures he was used to tracking. He also knew they were much smarter as well. One false move and things will turn into another standoff, and the last thing I need is a dead angel.
He chuckled to himself. Somehow that just seems paradoxical.

"He's not nothing," Kevin whispered, sensing someone near. "Because I feel something." There was a prickling on the back of Kevin's neck.

Cass licked her lips and cracked her neck. "God," she murmured. "When was the last time I fed? It's a good thing I didn't go past a month. . ."
She stood and tapped the body before her with the toe of her boot. "You'll feel rough in the morning, mate, but you'll heal. Nothing to worry about. Thanks for the meal."
Much more aware than she had been for weeks, Cass trekked through the forest as the twilight faded to night. I hope Jack found food. I wont' need anything more tonight.
A small noise caught her attention, and a hand caught the hilt of her remaining katana. I need to find your mate, she chided herself.

Carwyn flicked the hilt under his wrist and flipped the katana in the air. With a small burst of energy off his fingertips, the katana flew outwards from his hand, impaling itself through a tree.
"Now that we are on a less level playing field, I think it is time that we had a talk," Carwyn hissed with a malevolent smirk on his face. "Talk real up close...."

Cass flexed her bicep, snapping the cord that held a palm sized dagger. It fell through her sleeve, and she caught it silently. With her back to the taller man, she laughed quietly. "You have keen eyes, Angel," she murmured, "Or so I hope. I dearly hate being Hunted. Most of the time the Cats aren't very nice to a little Mouse like myself."

Carwyn ducked low to the ground and placed his hands above Cass's heels, then created a burst of energy from both hands, causing a crackle of light to explode along both of her Achilles tendons.
"Who said this feline was going to be nice?"

Cass bit her lip as she crashed to the foliage. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction of hearing her scream. "You fight dirty," she growled. Beads of sweat exploded along her hairline. Just pray he didn't tear anything, Cass, she told herself and she rolled to her side and threw the dagger at her target. and thank God that you fed, or else you wouldn't be able to see as well as you do now. With heightened reflexes, she grabbed her boot daggers and threw the two at her attacker. All three found their mark, biting into flesh. On still shaking legs, she pulled herself up, grinning broadly. "This Prey doesn't go down without one hell of a fight, Angel." In a second, the blades from her back were in her hand, and a cord, already knotted, was clenched in her fist. She threw the blades, ensuring they found the Angel, and leaped the remaining space between them, the cord waiting to find her match's neck.

Carwyn winced at the searing pain in his chest and abdomen. Without a second thought, he pulled one of the blades from his body and quickly swung side to side, deflecting a few of the remaining blades.
"You think you are the only one capable of using a bla--HRK." His words were cut off as an immense pressure formed around his throat.

Cass used her weight to pull him to his knees. Panting, she grimaced slightly as her calves tightened from the earlier blow. "You're a smarmie bastard. Have fun in Hell," she told him as she tied a tight knot in the cord. As she stood, she snatched her daggers from his hand and body.

Carwyn thrashed in pain back and forth a few times. He swung his elbows left and right, striking the sides of his assailant. Then he limped forward slightly, His eyes rolling into the back of his head. A gurgle escaped his lips, and he clawed for the air.
Then, suddenly, he shot his arms out to his sides and let loose an explosion of energy from every pore of his body. The resulting shockwave tossed his attacker into the air, vaporizing the cord and scattering the assorted blades to every corner of the small clearing the two were fighting in.
"I apologize for hamming it up, but I could not help myself. I always was a bit of a dramatic." Carwyn grinned. He looked down at the wounds in his body, the blood cascading down his white robe. He ripped the upper half of his robe off, revealing his albino-white torso. He created a small ball of energy and placed it on the wounds, and proceeded to cauterize the wounds. Sweat dripped off his milky body, rolling off the clearly defined muscles in his abs. "I have to say, you are quite the annoyance. If my wing would have healed in a more fitting way, I could have simply burned this whole forest, you included. You do tend to make things difficult for me, Sindra."

Her wrist snapped loudly as she landed. A small shout tore from her throat, and she bit her tongue until she tasted blood. Get up, get up, get up, she told herself over and over. She heard his soft footsteps behind her, and as she fought to catch her breath, she pulled herself up to her feet. She swooned for a moment, but pushed against her body's limits. I just fed too. Damn. If I lose too much blood, he'll be in for a nasty surprise. On shaking legs and with an arm cradled to her chest, she spat blood to the ground and turned to face the Angel, forcing a grin. "I do have the tendency to do that. If I didn't," she looked at him, smiling, "I wouldn't be alive still."
