"You sure about that?" Jack replied calmly. "Because from where I am at the moment, it doesn't seem likely."

Cass growled deep in her chest and sat up sharply, knocking Jack from her back. "Want to keep pushing me, Jack?" she asked menacingly.

HIJACK
Carwyn stepped through the rubble of the Cathedral's inner sanctuary. He turned over a few loose stones with a careless demeanor. His eyes scanned over dust and splintered wood, but they were off in a faraway place. He sat on the remains of the stone steps which led to the latter half of the cathedral. In his hand he turned over a small silver medallion.
Carwyn's gaze deepened and his head slumped between his legs. He uttered the same two syllables under his breath, and the medallion slipped from his fingers. It bounced down the steps and landed in a soft pile of suit.
Then, the entire room laid silent.

Mmkay. So I'm putting this one back in motion for Aphtyn and I. I'm powerplaying her character, but only because this is a post she wrote in my notebook. So they're her words, not mine.
Kevin was crouched next to Longinus. It was the fourth day they had been tracking what was supposedly a human.

Longinus shrugged his shoulders dejectedly. "Kevin, how long will this go on?" He scratched his arms and grimaced. "We haven't seen more than a few footsteps from this guy, and that was yesterday."
