Would you know my name If I saw you in heaven Will it be the same If I saw you in heaven I must be strong, and carry on Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand If I saw you in heaven Would you help me stand If I saw you in heaven I'll find my way, through night and day Cause I know I just can't stay Here in heaven
Time can bring you down Time can bend your knee Time can break your heart Have you begging please Begging please
(instrumental)
Beyond the door There's peace I'm sure. And I know there'll be no more... Tears in heaven
Would you know my name If I saw you in heaven Will it be the same If I saw you in heaven I must be strong, and carry on Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven
Cause I know I don't belong Here in heaven Before camp, this song had very little meaning to me. When I got home from camp, however, I had discovered that my great aunt Kris had died of cancer; Now no matter how hard I try, I can't make it through this whole song without crying. Backstory of the song: Eric Clapton wrote this about his teenaged song who had fallen out of a 53rd story condo window in New York. he fell 49 stories before landing on the roof of a 4-story building adjacent to the condo's building. www.snopes.com/music/songs/tears.asp

I went to an Eric Clapton concert the March before last. Twas the most amazing experience in my life. I sang all the way through "Wonderful Tonight", "Bellbottom Blues", and "Layla".

Really? Cool! This was the Fargo concert, right? I was at the Fargodome. On the ground, no less. No bleachers for me; I was literally 16 rows back from Clapton himself. I still have the pictures on my old cameraphone. If only I could have gotten an autograph. Robert Cray is an amazing vocalist too, I was surprised by him.
