Seriously. Just check it out, you guys.
It makes sense if you've been living with your eyes open.
"When injustice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty."
Don't be silent and allow this to happen. When you don't voice your future, it is decdided for you. Never give someone the power over your life.

www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist-addendum/www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/cost/I'm sorry. I went into this with the mindset "Oh, maybe this won't be like Loose Change! Surely they'll cite sources!" Zeitgest (And Zeitgeist Addendum) are propaganda videos developed by "Truthers". In them are countless factual discrepencies. Popular Mechanics did a similar article as the above two articles that, step by step, takes the script of the movie and shows you what they are saying, what they are insinuating, and what they are flat-out being dishonest about. Opening your eyes is a great thing to do, but opening your eyes should not include listening, watching, and agreeing with words that are thrown at you. Opinions are not facts; opinions are built on facts. Zeitgeist has been notorious with trying to meld the two together and giving it to you as fact. Much of their "proof" lies in quotations from people. These aren't facts, these aren't helpful. It's a cleverly disguised brainwash. Seeking the truth = Good. Seeking the truth by seeking equally-misleading propaganda from the otherside = Bad. You may as well be swallowing every word that erupts from President Bush's mouth with a spoonful of honey and a smile on your face. Please. Please. I beg you. Actually think for yourself; don't let the conspiracy theorists do it for you. Neither side, Government or Truthers, is one to be trusted. If you want find the truth, it needs to be done through research of your own.

I would also like to point out that the website above is not simply a man saying "That's wrong." Take heed of the citations included throughout the article. He does not claim falsehoods and move on. He claims falsehoods, provides you the means of seeing what the truth /actually/ is, and /then/ moves on. He's inviting you to seek the truth by finding these works, works from historians/physicists/so-on-and-so-forths, as opposed to an amalgamation of unsourced "facts".
I was quite disappointed with the Jesus section of Zeitgeist. How hard is it to point out the falsehoods and corruption of a group like the Catholic Church? No mention of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Knights Templar, the scientific debunking of Old Testament events...hell, any third grader could offer you an explanation of Evolution debunking Christianity as a whole simply because it disproves the Creation Myth. This is just the first section of the first movie and he is already fighting fire with fire while water is conveniently available for him to use. Symbology can not be fought with Symbology; it creates a never-ending cycle of debunked facts on both sides.

I do intend to go on and on and on about this as I do more research via the articles provided, and books about the subject that I'm researching. As of now it's 2:30 in the morning and I'm far too tired to keep writing, especially since I've spent most of my day doing oddjobs for my parents.

One, putting an end to this.
If you don't agree with it at all, just keep it to yourself, or be reasonable about how you present what you have to say. People are inclined to their own opinions, and as far as I'm still aware, we're still allowed to have them.
Two: You don't have to agree with the whole thing. I certainly don't. There are points which were far over-reached, and their methods were a bit faulty. Get over it.
They have good and bad points just like everything else, and just like everything else, you have to filter out the truth. There are no point-blank truths in the media today. They try to swindle you, cajole you, and trick you into their beliefs.
Look at Fox News. IMO, you mostly get crap from them (Sorry if you watch them, but it's true. I mean, Obama-Biden is equivalent to Osama Bin Laden? ...Really?), but there is occasionally a gem of knowledge there.
MSNBC is another example. They're the north to Fox's south. Quite a bit of what they say leans left. Fox leans right. Picking and researching what you get is the only way to be sure.
Thanks for you consideration. -ER.

Eh, I don't trust mainstream news because they're not separated. There isn't really a thing called biased news. The news; now that is some Grade A corruption right there.
I apologize if I offended anyone, but I get a bit hostile over the videos like that. Opinions are fine, but I've seen/talked with too many people who see movies like Zeitgeist/Loose Change and take every word as undeniable truth. It's a sad road because it often leads to people becoming close-minded because they'll literally trust nothing outside of the facts offered by the video because the video makes them think any outside source could be a lie devised to cover up "what really happened". I've literally lost a friend over things like this because they "couldn't trust me and my government-tainted points of view".
